Diamond Certification

At Neal Gray, we sell both ‘certificated’ and ‘non-certificated’ diamonds.

Certificated Diamonds which constitute most of our diamond solitaire ring stocks are officially and independently certified by one of the following internationally recognised professional bodies.

• GIA - Gemological Institute of America - website
• IGI - International Gemological Institute - website
• HRD - Diamond High Council ( Antwerp) - website
• AnchorCert - Birmingham Assay Office - website

A certificate with your diamond from one of the above independent grading laboratories assures you of the quality of your stone.  The colour, the cut, the clarity and the weight together with other individual characteristics of your stone ( such as the proportions, the polish, fluorescence), are all shown on your certificate.

IMPORTANT.   A diamond ‘certificate’ from a named jewellery shop or an unrecognised laboratory is worthless.  Also remember, a diamond valuation or appraisal is not the same as a certificate and should not be confused.

INSIST ON A CERTIFICATE FROM A RECOGNISED INDEPENDANT LABORATORY SUCH AS THOSE LISTED ABOVE
